On the coldest day for a while we held our coffee, cake & craft morning at Oakley Village Hall. We were able to sell our cookery books too, which were picked up that morning from our printers.

We were delighted to see 6 new people at our meeting on November 10th and we hope they decide to join us next year. It is a good time to become a member as there is a new programme starting in January.
The November meeting was a dabble evening when we were helped to make a Christmas table decoration by Valerie and then we made decorations out of old paperbacks with Annie. 2 members were presented with their 100 challenge certificates, see the 100 challenge page. At the Group meeting of all 16 WIs last month at Loddon Bowls Club ,our President came second with her cheese scones. The Group are running 2 coaches to Waddesdon Manor for a Christmas Fayre. 20 members went to the Anvil last month to hear the Snows – Father and son telling us about the Battle of Waterloo and everyone sung the song. There is a Coffee,Craft and Cake morning on Saturday 21st of November at Oakley Village Hall. A successful jumble sale had been organised despite the rain. We shall be enjoying a Christmas dinner together in Overton next month. The meeting on December 8th is entitled “Is it fun to be fooled?” There will be a competition for the best wrapped present price £2.50p |
